    Although we live in the country every day, we rarely feel dull in the country. No matter how often we walk down the same road, over the same fields, or through the same woodland paths, there is always something new, something fresh to see there. It may be a little plant that has come up since last we visited the place; a hedge that was just a lot of brown sticks may now be covered with flowers. Sometimes we may find a bird’s nest deep in a bush and , if we are careful not to frighten the birds, as the days pass, see first the little eggs, and then the baby birds. We never know what we may see, or find when we start out for a country walk. But we must learn to use our eyes.

I．頻度副詞有often, always, sometimes,等 

1.頻度副詞表示某事發(fā)生的頻率。最常見的有：

We rarely feel dull inthe country

There is always somethingnow, something fresh to see there.

Sometimes we may find a bird’s nest deep in a bush .

We never know what we maysee, or find when we start out for a country walk.

  2 Frequently = often. 但often更常見。

    Seldom = rarely. 但rarely更常見。

    Usually, normally, generally是同義詞 ,但usually 最常見。

    Occasionally, sometimes的意思幾乎相同,但 sometimes 更常見。

     注意：副詞在句中的位置通常沒有確切的規(guī)則，但如果根據(jù)以下談到的要點，則不會出錯。

II． 頻度副詞的位置

1．頻度副詞常位于句中，在主動詞之前。

         頻度副詞位于助動詞和主動詞之間。                  

2．但是頻度副詞位于be動詞之后。

3．在疑問句和簡短回答中，頻度動詞放在主動詞的前面。

4．Sometimes, occasionally, often, usually, generally normally 通常位于句中。

    It sometimes rains, of course.   I occasionally miss the sun.

但是這些詞位于句首或句末時表示強調(diào)。

 Sometimes it rains, of course.  Occasionally I miss the sun.

Sometimes we may find a bird’s nest deep in a bush .

5．注意：always, never, rarely, seldom,hardly ever 通常不位于句首，

      （但是always和never必須位于祈使句前. 'Never forget to say'please’’.）

6．副詞詞組every day, every year, everyevening 等常位于句末，但如果表強調(diào)也可以位于句首。

     We live in the country every day.= Every day we live in the country.

There’s something good to watch on TV every evening.

Every evening there’s something good to watch.

這些短語不能位于句中。
