    During the past Spring Festival holiday of 2019, every day a foreign friend gave a New Year’s greeting throughWhereZhengzhou. Why did they stay in Zhengzhou during the Spring Festival?     今年春節(jié)假期，每天都有外國朋友通過WhereZhengzhou來給大家拜年。過大年，他們?yōu)槭裁戳粼卩嵵?？他們和鄭州有著怎樣的緣分？他們在鄭州有哪些有趣的故事?/p>

    Michael Hoevel (Chinese name: Mai Hewei), general manager of JW Marriott hotel Zhengzhou, is from Germany. Before coming to Zhengzhou, Michael had been engaged in related work in hotel industry and had been to many cities. He said that the rapid economic development in Zhengzhou offers new opportunities everywhere. This was the first Spring Festival for Michael in Zhengzhou. On the Lunar New Year's Day, he and his colleagues received a red envelope, which made him very excited. He said, "China's Spring Festival is a time for family reunion. Here we are like a big family, so I have the reason to celebrate the Spring Festival together with them."

    麥合威（Michael Hoevel），來自德國，鄭州綠地JW萬豪酒店總經(jīng)理。在來鄭州之前，他一直從事酒店行業(yè)的相關工作，到過不少城市。在他看來，鄭州經(jīng)濟快速發(fā)展，處處透著新的機遇。今年是麥合威在鄭州的第一個春節(jié)，大年初一，他和員工們都收到了紅包，這讓他非常激動，他說：“中國春節(jié)熱熱鬧鬧，家家團圓，這里就像我的家，我要在這里跟我的家人們一起歡度春節(jié)。”

    Before coming to China, Phelisters Wegesa (Chinese name: Ma Xiaoyue) worked for the Ministry of Health Tanzania as a Quality Assurance Officer, and meanwhile she was also a free-lance writer and a volunteer. Now Phelisters is pursuing her PhD degree in Zhengzhou. In her eyes, Zhengzhou is a city of tradition and modernity, beauty and openness, passion and liberality. Phelisters was very looking forward to the Chinese Spring Festival. During the Spring Festival, she took several New Year’s photos with costume of her own country, hoping more and more people will fall in love with China's Spring Festival.

    在來中國之前，馬小悅（Phelisters Wegesa）是坦桑尼亞衛(wèi)生部的一名質量保證官員，同時也是自由撰稿人和志愿者。如今她在鄭州攻讀博士學位。在她眼中，鄭州是一座集古韻與現(xiàn)代、美麗且開放、熱情并包容的城市。春節(jié)來臨前，馬小悅迫不及待地穿上自己國家的服裝，拍攝了一組新年賀歲的照片，希望更多的人和她一起愛上中國的春節(jié)。

    Anna (Chinese name: An Na) is a teacher from Russia. Before coming to Zhengzhou, Anna has been to many cities in China, including Beijing, Xi’an and Hong Kong. By that time, she’d already fallen in love with China. Therefore, she decided to come to China again. Anna said she like the people and food in Zhengzhou best. Everyone here is so nice and friendly. She really likes Hot pot, beef noodles, buns, dumplings, as well as sweet and sour pork here, which, in her eyes, may be the most popular food for all foreigners. This year, Zhengzhou’s eye-catching streetlamp decorations gave Anna a strong sense of Chinese New Year.

    安娜(Anna)，來自俄羅斯，是一名老師。在來鄭州之前，安娜去過中國很多城市，包括北京、西安、香港等，那個時候已經(jīng)愛上了中國，所以決定再回來。安娜說：“最喜歡鄭州人的親切友善。還很喜歡鄭州的美食，比如：火鍋、牛肉面、包子、餃子、咕嚕肉……我覺得我們外國朋友都很喜歡?！苯衲赅嵵菝利惖慕譄粞b飾也讓安娜感受到了濃濃的春節(jié)氛圍。

    Katren Hepworth (Chinese name: Li Shiqi) is an American student in her third year at Zhengzhou Sias University. As a campus star and a presenter who can speak both Chinese and English, she loves Chinese food and culture, and sings Chinese song very well. "Zhengzhou is a city with a long history. Particularly resourceful, Zhengzhou people have changed Zhengzhou through their efforts despite the difficulties. Zhengzhou is very beautiful now. ” As her second hometown, she hopes Zhengzhou will develop better and better.

    李詩琦（Katren Hepworth）是鄭州西亞斯學院的一名美國留學生，目前就讀大學三年級。她酷愛中國美食和中國文化，是校園紅人，中文歌唱得很好聽，還是晚會的中英文雙語主持人?！班嵵菔且粋€很有歷史的城市。鄭州人特機智，能吃苦，經(jīng)過大家的努力，現(xiàn)在的鄭州變得特別美?！弊鳛樗牡诙枢l(xiāng)，詩琦希望鄭州的發(fā)展越來越好。

    In July 2017, Funda Kaya Lu (Chinese name: Fen Da), a Turkish young lady, met her current husband Lu Zhenqiang, a Zhengzhou boy, and now lives a happy family life. Last Spring Festival, she spent with her family members in Zhengzhou. They did shopping, ate family reunion dinner, watched Spring Festival Gala. This Spring Festival, Shegave red envelopes to newborns together. She said she was very moved by the Chinese hand-down “family culture”.

    2017年7月，土耳其姑娘芬達(Funda Kaya Lu)認識了鄭州小伙兒盧振強，開始了一段浪漫的跨國情緣。如今，這個在鄭州的跨國家庭生活很幸福。去年春節(jié)，是她在鄭州過的第一個春節(jié)，她和鄭州的家人們一起買年貨、吃團圓飯、看春晚。今年春節(jié)，她特意包了個紅包給自己新出生的小寶寶，她覺得中國傳承的“家文化”讓人非常感動。

    Viviana from Colombia, came to Zhengzhou 7 months ago as an intern at a foreign company. During the Spring Festival holiday of 2019, she chose to stay in Zhengzhou. She believed that this was a good opportunity to see how natives celebrate Chinese New Year and to make new friends... On the New Year's Eve, she made dumplings and ate family reunion dinner with her friends. She said that she was amazed at seeing the joyful atmosphere of the Spring Festival in Zhengzhou and the happy moments of family gatherings, and she felt at home.

    7個月前，哥倫比亞女孩Vivi來到鄭州，在一家外企的實習工作。今年春節(jié)假期，她留在鄭州過新年，她覺得這是一個很好的機會，可以了解鄭州的春節(jié)，并且結交新朋友……除夕夜，她和朋友們一起包餃子吃年夜飯。她說，鄭州春節(jié)喜氣熱鬧，她覺得非常開心，也讓她有了回家的感覺。

    Since its inception, WhereZhengzhou has been inviting friends from all over the world to share their stories in and with Zhengzhou.
