要學(xué)好英語：“端午節(jié)”就不要說Duanwu或Dragon Boat Festival了 今天是中國傳統(tǒng)節(jié)日“端午節(jié)”，“屈原節(jié)”，“中元節(jié)”。不過，從英語學(xué)習(xí)者角度出發(fā)，不知道你用英語表達(dá)“端午節(jié)”時(shí)能“說”多少英語。 一、只會(huì)說Dragon Boat Festival，或者干脆“說”半中半洋英語Duanwu Festival嗎？ 或者說只會(huì)用英語Dragon Boat Festival英語單詞“跟人對話”嗎？ It's Dragon Boat Festival tomorrow,we will not go to school. 然后“不懂”這句英語什么意思，只有再加一句中文“明天端午節(jié)不用去學(xué)?！辈拍芩恪皩W(xué)”了一句英語，“用”了一句英語嗎？ 這就是很多人“學(xué)”英語的模式：只有依賴中文才能“學(xué)”英語，英語“學(xué)”的越多，“中文依賴”越強(qiáng)。而且還假定：用中文學(xué)英語是為了跟人交流的。 這個(gè)傳統(tǒng)的“英語學(xué)習(xí)”模式實(shí)際上是“弊大于利”的： 1、學(xué)習(xí)英語的“理解語言”不是英語，而是中文，也就意味著你的英語“學(xué)習(xí)”沒有給你的英語理解英語能力，英語記英語能力帶來任何訓(xùn)練和強(qiáng)化。一句英語學(xué)習(xí)一句中文解釋本質(zhì)上還是在“學(xué)中文”。 2、非英語語言環(huán)境下用中文“學(xué)”英語，中文“理解”和中文“記憶”的能力變得越來越強(qiáng)大，英語“能力”弱化，結(jié)果“學(xué)出來”后發(fā)現(xiàn)，日常生活工作中跟人“用”這句用中文學(xué)來的英語的機(jī)會(huì)很少甚至根本沒有：學(xué)為了用不過是一句空話。結(jié)果只能是用中文學(xué)了忘，忘了再用中文學(xué)。學(xué)來學(xué)去，中文依然強(qiáng)大，英語還那樣。 二、我們必須清楚，非語言環(huán)境下“學(xué)”英語不是“為了跟人用”的，而是通過學(xué)習(xí)某句英語達(dá)到訓(xùn)練用英語學(xué)英語，用英語理解英語，用英語記憶英語的“英語能力”的。能做到這點(diǎn)，學(xué)來的英語即使沒機(jī)會(huì)用，它也不會(huì)忘記：你已經(jīng)具備了英語“肌肉記憶”。 三、學(xué)“端午節(jié)”的英語表達(dá)，你必須會(huì)“說”下面的英語 下面有關(guān)Dragon Boat Festival的英語是不允許“借助”中文理解和記憶的。直接就能記住這些英語。 1.Dragon Boat Festival is a public holiday in China in June. 2.A public holiday is a day off for the general population (for the whole country).That means schools and most businesses and offices are closed. 3. A day off for the general population is a public holiday,like Saturdays and Sundays. 你是不需要中文去理解和記憶英語a public holiday的，訓(xùn)練自己同樣是用英語a day off for the general population.Schools and most businesses and offices are closed理解和記憶它就行。只是這么做“太難”，于是，“干脆用中文學(xué)，用中文記吧”：英語老是學(xué)不好正是從這點(diǎn)“放棄”開始的。 4.Dragon Boat Festival commemorates the life and death of Qu Yuan,a famous scholar in ancient China. Commemorate“又不懂了”是吧？又要習(xí)慣性地問：中文是什么？ 下面是“用英語學(xué)英語”： 5.Dragon Boat Festival commemorates the life and death of Qu Yuan,meaning is in commemeration of QY,meaning is in honor of QY，或者干脆is held for QY,is in memory of QY,meaning celebrates QY,meaning is in celebration of QY. 用英語理解另一句英語的英語多了去了，為什么非得“用”中文？ 這才是最終導(dǎo)致一個(gè)人在非語言環(huán)境下學(xué)習(xí)英語質(zhì)量好壞的分道揚(yáng)鑣處。 下句同理： 6.Qu Yuan drowned himself in Miluo River for political reasons. 又“不懂”英語drown“什么意思”，又要問“中文是什么”了嗎？ 7.Qu Yuan drowned himself means He committed suicide in the river,meaning He killed himself by jumping into the river. drowned himself，committed suicide in the river, killed himself by jumping into the river都是一個(gè)意思，說哪一個(gè)都可以，直接用它們來彼此理解，彼此記憶即可，為什么還要用中文呢？ 總之，學(xué)英語是為了用來給你訓(xùn)練自己用英語學(xué)英語，用英語記英語能力的，絕大多時(shí)候不是為了“學(xué)來跟人用”的。 這點(diǎn)必須清楚。 |
