Mary is an American schoolgirl. She is now in Beijing with her parents.

Mary doesn’t know Chinese, but she is studying Chinese. She often speaks Chinese to her Chinese friends.

瑪麗不會(huì)中文，但是她正在學(xué)習(xí)中文。她經(jīng)常和她的中國(guó)朋友說中文。

Sometimes they don’t understand her because she can’t speak Chinese well.

有時(shí)他們不理解她說的話因?yàn)樗闹形恼f的不好。

It’s Sunday morning. She goes out. She is walking in the street. She is going to the zoo to see elephants and monkeys, but she doesn’t know how to get there.

星期天的早上。她出門，走在大街上。她要去動(dòng)物園看大象和猴子，但她不知道怎么去那里。

She asks a Chinese boy. The boy can’t understand her. Then she takes out a pen and a piece of paper.

她問一個(gè)中國(guó)男孩。那個(gè)男孩聽不懂她的話。然后她拿出一支筆和一張紙。

She draws an elephant on it, and shows the picture to the boy. The boy understand now, and he shows Mary the way to the zoo.

她在紙上畫了一頭大象，然后給那個(gè)男孩看。男孩現(xiàn)在明白了，他告訴瑪麗去動(dòng)物園的路。
