英語寫作中，我們經(jīng)常會用到這三個詞as、because、since。這三個詞都可以用作連詞，引導從句，用來連接事物的結(jié)果與導致該結(jié)果的原因。

這三個詞的中文翻譯都是“因為”，那在實際寫作中，我們應(yīng)該如何選用這幾個詞呢？

那下面我們就來分享一下這三個詞的區(qū)別和用法吧！

Because

這個詞在寫作和口語中都要比as和since常用。當使用because這個詞的時候，我們主要是在關(guān)注原因（reason）。

例如：

We didn’t enjoy the day because the weather was so awful. 那天我們很不盡興，因為天氣實在太糟。

Many exam candidates lose marks simply because they do not read the questions properly. 許多應(yīng)試者失分只是因為沒有好好地讀題。

有時，需要特別關(guān)注原因（reason）時，還可以把because-從句放到句首，此時就需要在這個從句后加逗號。

例句：

Because we're going away that weekend, we can't go to Julia's party.

因為那個周末我們要外出，所以不能參加朱莉婭的聚會。

在口語或非正式寫作中，我們可以單獨使用because-從句。

例句：

"Why did you do it?" "Because Carlos told me to".

“你為什么做這事？”“因為卡洛斯叫我去做的?！?/p>

需要注意的是，在正式寫作中，我們不單獨使用because-從句。

例如：

In 1998, the government introduced a new import tax because people were importing cars from abroad.

不能說：… a new import tax. Because people were importing cars from abroad.

As & Since

當想要更多關(guān)注的是結(jié)果而非原因時，常用as和since這兩個詞，且as和since這兩個詞要比because更正式。此外，還需要注意的一點，在含有since的句子里，我們通常會在主句之后，since之前加上逗號。

例如：

通常情況下，在句首使用as或since-從句時，需要在從句后加逗號。

例如：

Since we've got a few minutes to wait for the train, let's have a cup of coffee.

既然等火車還需要幾分鐘，我們?nèi)ズ缺Х劝伞?/p>

As it was getting late, I turned around to start for home. 天越來越晚，于是我掉頭回家了。

另外，需要注意的是，在問句中提出原因，通常使用because，而不用as或since。

例如：

Are you feeling unwell because you ate too much? 你是不是吃得太多才感到不舒服的？

不能說：

Are you feeling unwell since you ate too much? Or …as you ate too much?
