★ 可數(shù)名詞的復(fù)數(shù)形式

可數(shù)名詞變?yōu)閺?fù)數(shù)形式有規(guī)則變化和不規(guī)則變化兩種情況。

可數(shù)名詞復(fù)數(shù)形式的規(guī)則變化如下：

通常直接在名詞的詞尾加-s，如bicycle→ bicycles, tiger→ tigers。

以s, x, ch, sh等結(jié)尾的名詞，常在詞尾加-es，如bus→ buses, box→ boxes, watch→ watches, brush→ brushes。

以“輔音字母+y”結(jié)尾的名詞，先把y變?yōu)閕，再加-es，如factory→ factories。

以f或fe結(jié)尾的名詞，常先把f或fe變?yōu)関，再加-es，如wolf→ wolves, wife→ wives。

以“輔音字母+o”結(jié)尾的名詞，有的在詞尾加-es，有的在詞尾加-s，如hero→ heroes, tomato→ tomatoes, photo→ photos, piano→ pianos。

不規(guī)則變化的可數(shù)名詞的復(fù)數(shù)形式以及單復(fù)數(shù)形式相同的名詞需要特別記憶，如child→ children, man→ men, foot→ feet, goose→ geese, mouse→ mice, sheep→ sheep, deer→ deer, fish→ fish。

★ 不可數(shù)名詞

不可數(shù)名詞沒有復(fù)數(shù)形式，其前也不能直接用不定冠詞或數(shù)詞修飾。some, any, much, lots of, plenty of等可以修飾不可數(shù)名詞表示不確切的數(shù)量；“數(shù)詞或不定冠詞a / an + 表示度量、容積等的單位詞 + of + 不可數(shù)名詞”表示確切數(shù)量，如a cup of coffee, two pieces of bread。

★ 名詞所有格

1. 名詞所有格通常是在名詞詞尾加’s，如Laura’s socks；如果名詞是以-s或-es結(jié)尾的復(fù)數(shù)詞尾，則在其后加’，如two hours’ drive；不以-s結(jié)尾的復(fù)數(shù)名詞直接在其后加’s，如men’s shoes。

表示兩人（物）或多人（物）共有時，只將最后一個名詞變?yōu)樗懈裥问剑蝗绻硎靖髯运?，則每個名詞都要變?yōu)樗懈裥问剑鏗oward and Alexander’s father, Asia’s and Africa’s climate changes。

2. of屬格，即“of  + 名詞”，多用于無生命的名詞。

3. 雙重所有格，即“of + 名詞所有格”，表示所屬關(guān)系或加強感情色彩。

★ 名詞作定語

名詞作定語時，無論所修飾的名詞是單數(shù)還是復(fù)數(shù)，通常都用單數(shù)形式。

注意：當(dāng)man和woman作定語時，它們要與所修飾的名詞的數(shù)保持一致，即man和woman修飾單數(shù)名詞時用單數(shù)形式，修飾復(fù)數(shù)名詞時用復(fù)數(shù)形式。
