第一部分 先記住幾個(gè)原始詞

1.more than 超過(guò)，不僅僅

The monster is more than a monster.

這魔鬼不僅僅是是一個(gè)魔鬼而已。

2.反義詞：not more than 不超過(guò)，也許還不到

But his height is not more than one meter.

但是，他的身高不超過(guò)一米。

3.less than 少于，僅僅

And his strength is less than that of an ordinary man.

他的體力少于一個(gè)普通人的體力。

4.反義詞 not less than

However, his intelligence is not less than that of a super monster!

然而，他的智慧不少于一個(gè)超級(jí)魔鬼的智慧。

5.rather than 而不是

In this modern world, even monsters depends on intelligence rather than strength.

在現(xiàn)代世界中，即使是魔鬼也要依靠智慧吃飯而不是體力。

6.other than 除了

One can not win what he wants other than his wisdom.

一個(gè)人除了智慧就不可能贏得他想要的東西。

第二部分 分開(kāi)寫：肯定前面---否定后面

7.more---than比---多，是---而不是---【前多后少】

8.less---than 少于---，比起---更少【前少后多】

9.would rather---than 寧可---也不

So here, the monster is more a fool than a sage.

因此，在這里，這魔鬼是一個(gè)笨蛋而不是一個(gè)智者。

No children here are less dishonest than him.

這里沒(méi)有一個(gè)小孩沒(méi)有他那么奸猾【不誠(chéng)實(shí)】的。

They would rather challenge the wise monster than have a rest.

他們寧可挑戰(zhàn)這個(gè)有些智慧的魔鬼，也不閑著。

第三部分 把上面的not 改為no

1】對(duì)于no more than和no less than 意思是“絕不多余”或者“絕不少于”，是一種強(qiáng)調(diào)。

10.no more than 僅僅

那魔鬼認(rèn)為他想要的不會(huì)超過(guò)三十間房子吧，人們會(huì)乖乖地搬家的。

11.no less than不少于，不亞于，多達(dá)，簡(jiǎn)直是

不錯(cuò)，很多年前，他不亞于一個(gè)無(wú)恥的搶劫犯。

People suffered from more than his iron will.

人們受苦受難的不僅僅是他的鋼鐵意志。

2】對(duì)于其他的比較級(jí)，意思是“大家都不”， 簡(jiǎn)而言之，就是：要死大家死，要發(fā)大家發(fā)！

12.no better than 和某人沒(méi)人相比，也好不到哪里去

13.no more interesting than和某人沒(méi)人相比，也有意思不到哪里去

So the monster was thought to be no better than a killer，while he thought the people was no stronger than cowards.

所以，那魔鬼被認(rèn)為比起一個(gè)殺人犯也好不到哪里去。

而他卻認(rèn)為人們不比懦夫強(qiáng)多少。

第四部分 分開(kāi)寫

分開(kāi)寫的時(shí)候，它們的意思跟第三部分的第二點(diǎn)差不多。

簡(jiǎn)而言之，就是：要死大家死，要發(fā)大家發(fā)！

14.no more---than 既不---也不---

15.no less---than 既不差---也不差，不比---差

然而，一千多年過(guò)去了，即使是這里的小孩也認(rèn)為他既不是一個(gè)優(yōu)秀的搶劫犯也不是一個(gè)合格的殺手
