衡量一首歌是否經(jīng)典，其中一個標準，即看有多少演繹的版本。

這首歌有無數(shù)個版本，第一印象來自藤田惠美，第一印象很深刻，所謂喧賓奪主。

意象中，作者與歌者為一人，吉他自彈，長發(fā)及肩，該是氣質(zhì)美女。實際上也差不多，除了最后一項——七八十年代唱柔情搖滾的文藝男青年一枚。

詞是首美好的詩歌，淺白深情，我很喜歡。譯成中文，形式美和內(nèi)蘊都有損傷，又夾帶了私貨，估計歌者很不喜歡。我對此表示歉意。

第一次翻了一段多一點，在工作間隙。主體還剩兩句的時候，被勒令休息。收尾于次日候診時。什么時候翻譯一首短歌，也要如此見縫插針？估計難免佛格柏同時代的嘻皮們憐憫了。

“Longer”是Dan Fogelberg（丹·佛格柏）最著名的歌曲。他歌聲輕柔，吉他旋律清澈動人，歌詞優(yōu)美深情，有'民謠詩人'的美稱。

佛格柏1951年8月13日生于伊利諾州，十四歲開始學(xué)習(xí)鋼琴, 后又學(xué)吉他和作曲。為了歌唱事業(yè)，他放棄伊利諾大學(xué)藝術(shù)系學(xué)士學(xué)位，移居加州，追隨民謠高手 Van Morrison（范· 莫里森） 到各地巡演。

1973年佛格柏發(fā)行第一張專輯 'Home Free' ，成績并不理想。1975年第二張專輯'Souvenirs'則叫好又叫座，使佛格柏躋身于美國知名作曲家兼歌手的行列。1980年推出的'Phoenix'是他最為成功的專輯，“Longer”即出自于此。

不幸的是，佛格柏在2004年宣布患上癌癥，3年半后，離開了這個世界。
