·A special festival in my country is the spring festival, it’s the largest holiday in my country. This is a festival to celebrate the Lunar new year. During thisfestival we have family gatherings and the spring festival lasts for 7 days. Wevisit friends and family everyday to eat together and party. The most excitingday is the Chinese new years eve. We have a huge dinner and after dinner peoplelight up the sky with fire works. I remember this year, I celebrated thisfestival at a restaurant, over 30 people came and we had a huge dinner. Afterthe dinner we all gathered on the patio of the restaurant to watch the fireworks in the sky. There were fireworks everywhere and the sky was lite upwith all kinds of colours, itwas an awesome sight. The meaning of fireworks is to start off the new year strong so that’s why we have this custom every year. This festival is really important because family and friends are very important in Chinese culture andthis is a holiday about family.
