前幾日在開封學習的時候,王彩鳳老師曾給大家介紹過一則繪本《點》,并請我們從“教師要成為孩子們的引導者、支持者、合作者”為題,尊重孩子的在學習中的個體差異,分析其中的價值,我被這則繪本所深深吸引,今天抽時間整理出來,和大家分享——
《點》
The art class was over, but Vashti sat glued to her chair. Her paper was empty. 美術(shù)課結(jié)束了,但沃詩提留在位子上。她的畫紙仍舊是一片空白。
Vashti’s teacher leaned over blank paper. “Ah! A polar bear in a snow storm,” she said. “Very funny!” said Vashti. “I just can’t draw!” 沃詩提的老師探身看著空白的畫紙,驚嘆道:“哇,是一只冰天雪地里的白色北極熊”。“真可笑,” 沃詩提說,“我根本就不會畫畫”。
Her teacher smiled. “Just make a mark and see it takes you.” 但老師微笑著說:“你哪怕是做個記號也可以,看看它會引你去哪里”。
Vashti grabbed a felt-tipped pen and gave the paper a good, strong jab. “There!” 沃詩提聽了猛的抓起一個帶橡皮的鉛筆,用力的在紙上戳了一下,說:“就這兒了”。 
Her teacher picked up the paper and studied it carefully. “Hmmmm.” 老師拿起畫紙,細細的研究起來:“嗯——!”
She pushed the paper towards Vashti and quietly said, “Now sign it.” 老師把畫紙放回到沃詩提面前,平靜地說:“現(xiàn)在,把你的名字簽上去吧”。

Vashti thought for a moment. “Well, maybe I can’t draw, but I CAN sign my name.” 沃詩提看著畫紙想了一會,自言自語道:“也許我不會畫畫,但簽名我還是會的?!?/div>
The next week, when Vashti walked into her art class, she was surprised to see what was hanging above her teacher’s desk. It was the little dot she had drawn- HER DOT! All framed in swirly gold! 第二周,當沃詩提再次走進美術(shù)教室的時候,她驚奇的發(fā)現(xiàn)在老師的桌子上面掛著的一幅畫:那是她畫的點?。《耶嬕呀?jīng)用旋渦狀的金黃色相框裝了起來。
“Hmmph! I can make a better dot than THAT!” “噢!” 沃詩提思考著,“我可以畫比這個點更好的點喔!”
She opened her never-before used set of watercolours and set to work. 她把已經(jīng)很久不用的水彩筆拿了出來,開始作畫。
Vashti painted and painted. A yellow dot. A green dot. A red dot. A blue dot. 沃詩提畫呀,畫呀,紅點、綠點、黃點、藍點……
The blue mixed with the red. She discovered that she could make a PURPLE dot. Vashti kept experimenting. Lot of little dots in many colours. 突然,藍色的點和紅色的點混合了,沃詩提發(fā)現(xiàn)自己弄出了一個紫色的點。她很驚奇,就一直不停的嘗試下去,又畫出了許多不同顏色的點。
If I can make little dots, I can make BIG dots, too.” Vashti splashed her colours with a bigger brush on bigger paper to make bigger dots. “如果我可以畫小點,我就能畫大點?!?沃詩提說完就拿起了一只大畫筆,在一張大紙上揮毫起來。
Vashti even made a dot by NOT painting a dot. 沃詩提甚至不是直接畫出一個點,卻留白出了一個點的氛圍。
At the school art show a few weeks later, Vashti’s many dots made quite a splash. 幾周后,在學校的藝術(shù)展覽上,沃詩提畫的各種各樣的點讓大家大開眼界。
Vashti noticed a little boy gazing up at her. “You’re a really great artist. I wish I could draw.” he said. “ I bet you can,” said Vashti. “Me? No, not me. I can’t draw a straight line with a ruler.” 沃詩提注意到有一個小男孩在認真的看著她的畫,他對沃詩提說:“你真是個大藝術(shù)家,要是我也可以畫畫該多好啊!”“你當然可以,我可以保證” 沃詩提說。“我?不可能的,即使用尺子比著,我連一條直線也不會畫。”小男孩說。
Vashti smile. She handed the boy a blank sheet of paper. “ Show me.” The boy’s pencil shook as he drew his line. 沃詩提笑了,她遞給小男孩一張空白紙,說:“你畫給我看好嗎?”小男孩畫了起來,他的筆在不住地顫抖。
Vashti started at the boy’s squiggle. And then she said… 沃詩提注視著男孩的畫。 過了一會兒,她說……
“ Please… sign it.” “請……簽上你的名字?!?/div>
我為何感動?作者Peter Reynolds 曾在接受采訪時說過:“它不只是一本有關(guān)藝術(shù)的書。這是一本書,鼓勵我們,要有勇氣表達自己。它輕輕地提醒我們要從小處著手,并努力去實現(xiàn)這一想法。同時,這也是一個偉大的教師的故事,他知道如何使用幽默, 讓學生看到自己的愿景。”
這本書雖說的是繪畫,我讀到的內(nèi)涵的卻并非是創(chuàng)作的過程;雖是涉足兒童美術(shù)教育,然而,卻足以觸動著所有心懷有夢想?yún)s不敢去實踐、實現(xiàn)的那些怯怯地內(nèi)心。
這本兒童繪本,告訴著所有的我們:其實,人人都有創(chuàng)造性,人人都可以爆發(fā)出自己的宇宙,從一個小小的點就可以開始。
