中考數(shù)詞考點梳理

 一、考查數(shù)詞表示編號

    在通常情況下,表示年級、班、行、房間、課的編號要用基數(shù)詞,且位于詞首的字母要大寫,基數(shù)詞居后(若用英語表示,其首字母也要大寫);若要用序數(shù)詞表示,則序數(shù)詞必須加上the。如:

    Lesson One/ The first lesson (1)Room 306 (306號房間),Row Four/ The fourth row

(4)Class Three Grade Nine (九年級三班)

    、考查基數(shù)詞的在拼寫

    對基數(shù)詞的拼寫須注意:120應(yīng)當逐個記憶,2199應(yīng)是說整十加上連字符“-”然后再說幾。如:78seventy-eight 百位與十位或個位之間應(yīng)加and。如:675six hundred and seventy-five。若是四位和四位以上的數(shù),則是從后面向前數(shù),每三位為一組,用逗號分開,第一個逗號前是“千”(thousand),第二個逗號前則是“百萬”(million),第三個逗號前則是“ 十億”(billion)。如7,258,369,000seven billion,two hundred and fifty-eight millionthree hundred and sixty-nine thousand。

    、考查基數(shù)詞hundred/thousand/million/billion的單復(fù)數(shù)形式

    hundred/thousand/million/billiontwo/three等數(shù)字連用表示確定數(shù)目時,這類數(shù)詞需用單數(shù)形式;當此類基數(shù)詞用來表達不確定數(shù)目時,即數(shù)百、數(shù)千等意思時,要用“hundredsthousandsmillionsbillions + of +復(fù)數(shù)名詞”表達,其中of不可少,此時hundred之類基數(shù)詞前面不可用具體數(shù)字修飾,但可加many/several。試比較:

      five hundred students             ()

      five hundreds students            (×)

      ten thousands of students          (×)

many/several thousands of students  ()

四、考查-ty結(jié)尾的基數(shù)詞的復(fù)數(shù)意義

2090-ty結(jié)尾的基數(shù)詞當用來表示年代或歲數(shù)時,此時要出復(fù)數(shù)形式出現(xiàn)。如: in the1990s/in the1990’s在二十世紀九十年代  in his/her forties在他/她四十多歲時

注意:在“基數(shù)詞-單數(shù)名詞-形容詞”所構(gòu)成的復(fù)合形容詞中,其中名詞要用單數(shù)形式。如:

一個十二歲的男孩a twelve-year-old boy

一座800米長的橋an 800-metre-long bridge

女子400米接力girls’ 400-metre relay race

    五、考查序數(shù)詞的構(gòu)成與功能

    序數(shù)詞除用來表示編號外,還可用來表示事物的先后順序,此時序數(shù)詞多與定冠詞the、物主代詞或名詞所有格等連用。對序數(shù)詞的考查常見于序數(shù)詞的拼寫以及與基數(shù)詞的詞形轉(zhuǎn)換中。應(yīng)關(guān)注下列數(shù)詞的拼寫與轉(zhuǎn)換:

onefirst, twosecond, threethird;eighteighth;nineninth;fivefifth, twelvetwelfthtwentytwentieth, fortyfortieth;twenty-onetwenty-first, fifty-ninefifty-ninth

    六、考查不定冠詞a/an與序數(shù)詞連用

序數(shù)詞除了與定冠詞the、物主代詞或名詞所有格等連用以表示順序外,不定冠詞aan也能與序數(shù)詞連用,可表達一種特殊功能,意為“再一”、“又一”,相當于another。如:

Then they had a second child—a son.后來他們又有了一個孩子---- 一個兒子。

    七、考查分數(shù)詞的構(gòu)成以及當其作主語時謂語動詞的單復(fù)數(shù)

1. 分數(shù)詞的一般構(gòu)成:分子用基數(shù)詞,分母用序數(shù)詞;除分子是“1的情況外,序數(shù)詞都用復(fù)數(shù)。如: 13 a(one) third,23 two-thirds, 25two-fifths

注意12 one halfa half(但不說one second),14 a(one) fourth/quarter,34 three-quarters/fourths

    2. 分數(shù)詞作主語時,謂語動詞的單復(fù)數(shù)應(yīng)由of后面名詞的數(shù)確定:of后面的名詞為可數(shù)復(fù)數(shù)名詞時,謂語動詞用復(fù)數(shù)形式;of后面的名詞為不可數(shù)名詞時,謂語動詞用單數(shù)形式。試比較:

    Three-fifths of the work is hard to finish.五分之三的工作很難完成。

Three-fifths of the students in our class are League members.我們班五分之三的學生是共青團員。

注意:數(shù)詞作主語時,謂語動詞多使用單數(shù)形式。如:What’s two and/plus three?

八、考查時間的表達法

1. 整點鐘:基數(shù)詞+o’clock。

2. 非整點時間:順讀(先說點鐘,再說分鐘)或逆讀:

當分鐘數(shù)小于或等于30時,可用“分鐘+past+點鐘”表示。如:725 twenty-five past seven

當鐘點數(shù)大于30時,可用“(60分鐘)+to +(點鐘+1)”表示。如:735 twenty-five to eight(6035=25) (7+1=8)

注意15 minutes = a quarter 30 minutes = half

九、考查特殊短語的表達

我們需要掌握以下短語的常見表達:半個小時half an hour, 一天半one and a half daysone(a) day and a half, —、二天one or two daysone day or two, 三、五次three or five times

注意:后面兩個短語中的or不可用and代替。
