布萊恩-亞當(dāng)斯是八十年代崛起的最受歡迎的搖滾歌手之一，他制作了一系列白金唱片并多次入圍十大流行歌曲排行榜。在他演唱生涯的最初階段，他主要唱搖滾歌曲，隨著事業(yè)的進(jìn)展，他卻以民歌而廣為人知。

布萊恩·亞當(dāng)斯于1959年11月5 日生于加拿大的安大略省，父母是英國(guó)外交官。1973年亞當(dāng)斯一家定居于加拿大的維多利亞。 1975年，亞當(dāng)斯輟學(xué)，開(kāi)始追求自己的音樂(lè)夢(mèng)想。那時(shí)他只有15歲。1980年他推出了自己的首張專(zhuān)輯《布萊恩

·亞當(dāng)斯》（《Bryan Adams》)，雖然反映平平，卻也開(kāi)始引起了一些人的注意。1984年他的第四張專(zhuān)輯《粗心大意》（《Reckless》）獲得了不錯(cuò)的成績(jī)，但他卻仍未成名，直到1991年那首電影《羅賓遜》主題曲“Everything I Do, I Do It For You”推出之后，獲得巨大成功，連續(xù)七周名列美國(guó)排行榜之首。從此成為一個(gè)真正的國(guó)際巨星。布萊恩·亞當(dāng)斯的流行搖滾風(fēng)格和他那富于情感魅力的演唱為他贏得了無(wú)數(shù)的歌迷。

Waking Up The Neighbours可謂是亞當(dāng)斯音樂(lè)生涯中的巔峰之作，這張于1991年9月發(fā)行的專(zhuān)輯收錄了（Everything I Do）I Do It For You-電影“Robin Hood:Prince Of Thieves”的主題曲。這張專(zhuān)輯和這首單曲在1991和1992年在多個(gè)國(guó)家登上榜首位置。其中單曲更是創(chuàng)造了在英國(guó)單曲排行榜連續(xù)16周排名第一和美國(guó)單曲銷(xiāo)售連續(xù)17周冠軍，銷(xiāo)量300萬(wàn)的奇跡。

1996-1999年亞當(dāng)斯每年都發(fā)行一張專(zhuān)輯。其中1996年專(zhuān)輯“18 Till I Die”中歌曲“Have You Ever Really Loved A Woman”為他獲得了第二個(gè)奧斯卡提名

2002年五月，電影《小馬王》（SPIRIT）的原聲帶發(fā)行，亞當(dāng)斯演唱了其中的所有歌曲。Here I Am（我在這兒）就是其中的主題曲。

2005年，亞當(dāng)斯發(fā)行了雙CD精選輯，作為對(duì)自己25年個(gè)人音樂(lè)生涯的回顧。同是他也發(fā)行了一張現(xiàn)場(chǎng)DVD—“Live In Lisbon”。

2010年2月13日溫哥華冬奧會(huì)開(kāi)幕式，亞當(dāng)斯與內(nèi)莉·弗塔多Nelly Furtado共同演唱歌曲"Bang the Drum ".
