    Today is a completely different day. Of course, I have come to our place-Yangshuo Guilin which we have looked forward to for a long time .The teachers lead to us here.         I really want to loudly speak to the world-I am the most happiest person now.             For our trip, the first station is the Li River which many famous people from home or abroad .The early morning, we were glad to view the Li River .Nearly none of us were unhappy .I could say that a big smile was on everyone face .Both side of the river are mountains .They are various different, some look like this,or some look like that .In a word , all of that made us enjoyable . So beautiful sceneries are that many of my classmates held their cameras to take pictures of the mountains .And the guide was patient to explain every spot for us .What’s more , some my classmates tasted the delicious Li River fish . All of these let me think more. I still couldn’t believe that I have been such a wonderful place.

    It’s easy to see that the first station let all of us have a deep impression .Surely, I will never forget it.

     Today, I’m very tired but happier because we rode bycickles and climbed the moonhill. And the evening, we went on practicing our oral English. I think tonight is my lucky night. I met some very nice foreigners.

 Firstly, I talked with a girl from Canada. She is a student. And she came to China for traveling and studying. She is a geography major. She is very friendly. We had a good talk.

 Secondly, I met a couple who come from England. They were also very kind. Especially the husband, when he knew I was practicing my oral English. He gave me some advice, such as how to pronounce and what to do everyday. I never forget he told me that where is a will, there is a way. He is so nice a person that I couldn’t help taking a picture with him. What’s more, he told me how he knew and fell in love with his wife in Canada. To be honest, I think I am lucky to meet this couple. They made me know and understand something important.

 In conclusion, this is a very nice day. I have gained something I never had got before.

      I always believe that tomorrow will be a nice day. My work was going on this evening.

 I walked up and down West Street again and again. At the beginning, I have had with no one to practice English, although there were so many foreigners coming and going .I was afraid to be refused by them. So I made an excuse that I asked a man from Belgium to take a photo for me to talk with him. Then we began our conversation. He told me that he just came to Yangshuo for a three days’ trip. The next day he will fly to shanghai with his wife. Because his wife wanted to go, we had a short talk.

 On my way to hotel, I saw another couple who come from Germany standing in the bridge .They said that they had stayed in YangShuo for a week .They loved YangShuo. Their next station was Yunnan the province of southwest China. They also heard of that it was a beautiful place. Although they the first time came to China, they were attracted by the sceneries. They thought they would have a good time in China. In the end, we exchanged our e-mails.

J: Where are you from?

G: I’m from Canada. I came here with my classmates and two professors.

J: So you are a student, and what’s your major?

G: Geography, this is an interesting subject. Because of it. I’m here now.

J: How do you feel about China?

G: Exactly, it is charming. We arrived YangShuo two day ago from Shanghai. I think it is a beautiful city and it seems to be international day by day. But Yangshuo gives me another feeling. All we had a good time on the moonhill. By the way, what’s the population of China? I just think China is so many people.

J: About 13 billion. I see you so excited about China, will you migrate here?

G: En, personally, China is a great country and she developing faster. I am sure of this point. But I love Canada and my hometown very much. You know, my family and friends are in Canada. I think I can’t leave them too far. And I have been used to living there. Frankly, I enjoyed the days I spent here.

J: Yes, I agree with You .I love China too. It’s very nice to have a talk with you. Thank you! May you be happy everyday in China.

G: Oh, thank you very much. Nice to know you, too.

J: Nice to meet you. Do you the first time come to China?

H: Nice to meet you too. Yes, we are the first time here.

J: Is Guilin the first city. You are visiting/

H: No, we came here from Shanghai. And we just stay in Yangshou for two days.

J: Do you like Yangshuo? Please tell me .Your feelings.

J: Do you like Yangshuo? Please tell me your feelings.

H: Of course. China is a beautiful nation. We like her very much. My wife and I both enjoy ourselves. I could say that I had never seen such a beautiful city before we came to China .Really, it’s wonderful.

J: I’m very happy to hear that. Yes, I’m proud of that. How long will you stay in YsngShuo?

H: Two weeks. And then we will go to Yunan. We heard about that it is a beautiful place like YangShuo.

J: Yes. I suggest you should go to the capital city of Kunming. Its climate is warm like spring of 4 seasons.

H: Really? It sounds wonderful .It’s very nice of you to tell me that.

J: You’re welcome .What’s your job?

H: I’m a social worker. My job is to do with the kids who go away from home or other social problems.

J: It’s a good job. You must a great person. I’m very lucky to meet you.

H: Thank you. You are a nice girl too.

Moonhill climbing region is the best climbing area in Yangshuo, which is developed by climbers from the states (Todd skinner and other climbers) from 1992 to 1994. There are total 16 routes on Moonhill now, from 5.9 to 5.13. The 4^th and 6^th routes are 2-pitchs routes, about 50 meters high.

As the old say goes,” Guilin has the best scenery in the world, and landscape in yangShuo only tops Guilin” YangShuo, located in northeastern part of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, lies 63 kilometers south of the regions capital city Guilin and is one of the earliest tourist attractions appraised as a “scenic spot on the National level” .It sounds very charming .So I went there with my teachers and classmates and stayed for four days. However, having traveling to YangShuo was not just for scenic spot but the most important thing is for our English major, oral English is very useful and necessary for us to learn well.

West street also called” the biggest English corner” in the world was our final destination. Exactly, it was the place. We met foreigners from all over the world and talked with them in English. West street is alive with cafes offering interesting Chinese and western food. Travelers can eat food from many different countries at very reasonable prices. In reality, I visited the street in person. Every right, when I walked down and up this street which is 2,000 meters wide .It’s easy to see groups of foreigners. Both sides are filled with shops and vendor’s stand selling all kinds of souvenirs and snack. It combines both Chinese and Western styles .And a special feature on the street is the communicated and inter change of Chinese and foreign cultures .foreigners can learn Chinese , calligraphy , Taiji ,cooking , and Chinese chess , while passing international languages and culture to Chinese in bars , shops or schools . Although, you could finish walking up this street only about 10 minutes, you would find yourself enjoyed the people with different complexion and the special buildings. Always, you could see tourists from home and abroad carrying their cameras taking pictures.

To my deep impression was that there were many couples from different countries walking the street, the wives were always busy with choosing the nice ornaments. And their husbands were very patient to wait by side and enjoyed the crowed street. And then, we had opportunities to have a short talk with them. To the key, we achieved our goal that talking with the foreigners again and again. As the saying goes “Kill two birds with one stone”, we not only practiced our oral English, but also learnt something from them .Under different cultural and religious background, we could talk the different between China and other nations. So we could know our own nation ---China better and more clearly .This is very important to develop China .As we exchanged information with the foreigners we could also know them are high educated and have good manners .I think we should learn from their merits to compensate our drawbacks .

 In such a place full of spoken English atmosphere, we didn’t want to stop speaking English, which is never done at school. As everyone knows that the local people no matter who are young or old can speak English , although a little, it is enough for them to communicate with the westerners .I remember well the first day I was there .I saw an about 65---year old grandma selling fruits. She told the alien with clear English, how her fruits were fresh or sweat, just a few words. But she could make others understood. At that time, I was shamed by her. Meanwhile, I was deeply influenced I made a big decision that I must grasp the opportunities I was given and never refuse to English, no more in silence .As the saying goes “Practice makes perfect”, I didn’t waste the days I spent in west street .I tried my best to get over nervous to talk with the foreigners again and again .And took pictures with them for memorize.

As a coin has two sides, I was lucky enough to meet some nice aliens, but sometimes I said hello to some other westerners.They were indifferent and even not said hello back to me .This hit me a lot .I nearly lost confidence to open my mouth again.” Don’t worry and never give up ,let’s go on’’ ,my classmates inspired me .Soon ,I became happier and continued our study .Yes , I should stick to my good and shouldn’t give up easily .I should be stronger to embrace the frustration I met .

All in all , learning in West street I have obtained much ,such as confidence ,communicational skills ,and foreign friends .The most important ,I know myself better and I make sure how to face my future .In short ,our trip to Yangshuo is very successful .
